Jiang Lab
The Jiang Laboratory focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms of lung inflammation and fibrosis, the role of lung stem cells in pulmonary fibrosis, and the role of host defense in lung inflammation and fibrosis.
The Jiang Laboratory is affiliated with the Pulmonary Division in the Department of Medicine and Women's Guild Lung Institute.
Personal Statement
My research laboratory is focused on using genetically modified mice to develop models of inflammatory and fibrotic lung diseases. My laboratory has defined the roles of the glycosaminoglycan hyaluronan and its receptors, CD44, TLR4 and TLR2, in regulating lung inflammation and fibrosis in response to non-infectious lung injury.
