The Cedars Sinai Abdominal Transplant fellowship was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had and has been integral to my development as a surgeon. I had the opportunity to work with world-class surgeons and physicians in a high-volume transplant and hepatobiliary center. There was a tremendous focus on my education, professional development, and surgical technique. This fellowship prepared me for the next step in practice and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in pursuing a career in transplant surgery.

This fellowship has been two of the most rewarding years of my life and the knowledge and experience I have gained is incomparable to anything which came before. I have been fortunate and privileged to work with amazing attendings in the hardest of cases, who nurtured my development as a surgeon both in and out of the OR, from start to finish. I was honored to work with the best doctors, nurses, PAs, NPs, OR techs, the list goes on. It is hard work, but the work environment is fantastic. I completed fellowship as a better clinician, surgeon and person, and I owe it all to my Cedars-Sinai family.

My time in fellowship at Cedars-Sinai was exceptional in many ways. While it is still the most challenging educational experience I’ve ever had, it is the most rewarding and cherished as well. It was clear that the faculty considered my education a priority, which allowed me to excel surgically. It is a highly operative and very busy fellowship, with faculty at the top of their field in transplant and HPB. It is also a setting that offers mentorship that I still utilize to seek guidance concerning patient care and professional development.
