Led by some of the nation’s best educators in health science, our programs are at the forefront of translational medicine and healthcare innovation.
The Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine (CCM) Fellowship program at Cedars-Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), which provides a comprehensive one-year training in CCM and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), leading to board eligibility in both CCM, through the American Board of Anesthesiology, and in TEE, through the National Board of Echocardiography.
The Cedars-Sinai Department of Anesthesiology has a history of commitment to education, research and state-of-the-art clinical practice. Cedars-Sinai is a national leader in heart disease management, cardiothoracic transplantation, a Level I trauma center and provides care for complex medical and surgical patients. Cedars-Sinai also serves as a referral center for other regional centers and internationally.
Our fellowship provides advanced training in critical care medicine through a variety of clinical exposure to critically ill surgical and medical patients. Teaching and mentorship are received from our diverse and dedicated faculty members in anesthesia, medicine, surgery and neurology. In particular, fellows will become proficient in the management of complex heart failure and cardiac surgical patients including those requiring mechanical circulatory support, ECMO and transplantation.
