Vascular Neurology Fellowship
Led by some of the nation’s best educators in health science, our programs are at the forefront of translational medicine and healthcare innovation.
As the very first medical center in Los Angeles, and one of the first five in the nation, to earn Comprehensive Stroke Center certification from the Joint Commission in collaboration with the American Stroke Association, Cedars-Sinai's Stroke Program has an extensive history of groundbreaking treatment and research endeavors. The program consistently earns the highest possible honors from the most prestigious organizations in the nation.
Part of the Department of Neurology at one of the only Level-1 trauma centers in the region, the program offers two Vascular Neurology Fellowship positions each year. These fellows have the opportunity to grow and work alongside renowned leaders in the field of vascular neurology on a high volume of challenging and complex cases. Fellows work in close collaboration with colleagues in the departments of Neurocritical Care, Neuroradiology, and Endovascular Neurosurgery, and learn from faculty and trainees in these disciplines.
Fellows are supervised by Vascular Neurology Fellowship faculty at all times, during clinic encounters as well as during "Code Brain" emergencies, a call that goes out hospitalwide to launch a rapid-response team into immediate action on behalf of acute stroke patients. Though under supervision, fellows assume greater independence in decision-making throughout their time at Cedars-Sinai.
