Anesthesiology Residency
Led by some of the nation’s best educators in health science, our programs are at the forefront of translational medicine and healthcare innovation.
Cedars-Sinai is a leader in innovative patient care, research, teaching and community service.
The Cedars-Sinai Anesthesiology Residency is a four-year program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The program’s strong clinical experience is reflected in Cedars-Sinai consistently named as one of America’s Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
Beyond the volume and diversity of cases from which to learn at Cedars-Sinai, we have a robust and growing educational program including Grand Rounds and Patient Safety conferences with invited speakers, class-specific didactics, on-site simulation laboratory training, and written, oral and OSCE exam preparation.
Residents are encouraged and supported in participation in hospital based and national scholarly activities, including quality improvement projects, clinical and basic research, abstract and poster submissions, and attendance of conferences.
The health and wellness of our residents is our top priority. We strive to create a family-like atmosphere with an open-door policy for any issues or concerns that arise.

Welcome From the Program Directors
Thank you for your interest in Cedars-Sinai Anesthesiology Residency Program. Since its inception in 2007, the program has steadily grown to 17 residents per year. The volume and breadth of cases at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC) serve as the basis for the robust environment from which to gain first-hand proficiency. Building on that are the quality of care provided and daily teaching from experts in the field.
Beyond the clinical experience, our residency program offers regularly scheduled didactics, academic guidance, educational conferences, support to attend regional and national conferences, simulation laboratory training, opportunities for research and scholarly activity, a leadership track, and written, oral, and OSCE examination preparation.
We understand the importance of balancing the work of anesthesia training with time for personal growth and relaxation. We respect this need and realize that time outside of the hospital is necessary to create an environment that maximizes learning.
You have likely heard that we are actively searching for a permanent Residency Program Director who can align with Cedars-Sinai mission and standards of excellence. During this process, our commitment is to you, the anesthesia learner. The infrastructure of the current, successful residency program remains intact. Through our leadership, in combination with the associate and assistant program directors, we will continue to prioritize the needs of our residents. We would like to hear from you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly.
