Neurology Physician-Scientist Training Program
The Neurology Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) in the Cedars-Sinai Department of Neurology provides a structured program for physicians who are pursuing academic careers as both clinicians and researchers.
About the Program
This program combines the exceptional clinical training offered by the Cedars-Sinai Neurology Residency and Neurology & Neurosurgery Fellowship Programs with the distinguished clinical, translational and basic science research programs.
The mission of the PSTP is to provide personalized training to highly motivated trainees to develop the next generation of academically focused physician-scientists. This program combines neurology and research instruction to structure the development and progress of the trainee with a fundamental goal of developing an independently funded research program.
The PSTP is designed for graduates who have already had significant research training and gained interests in an area of clinical, translational and/or basic science research. Most applicants will have already preselected their subspecialty fellowship track during the PSTP application process and identified a focus area.
Physician Scientist trainees can pursue mentored research training and subspecialty clinical training through two unique fellowship tracks.
