Research Internships and Scholarships
Our research internships and scholarships provide structured and mentored environments for high school and college students to gain hands-on experience in biomedical research, regenerative medicine and neuroscience.

Opportunity for both college-age undergrads—as well as young biomedical scientists and researchers still enrolled in high school—looking for structured and mentored environments that support learning in basic, translational and clinical research.

The CIRM SPARK Program provides high school juniors with hands-on research experience in regenerative medicine, focusing on stem cell-based therapies. Participants gain valuable skills and mentorship in a professional lab setting.

U-GROW is a yearlong research-intensive program for undergraduates from Greater Los Angeles CSU campuses, focusing on cancer prevention, control and addressing health disparities. Explore additional high school and undergraduate opportunities to engage in cancer research and STEM initiatives.

Cedars-Sinai Cancer and California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), offers graduates a 9-month paid experience, fostering diversity and equity.

A yearlong, hands-on opportunity for postsecondary students from underrepresented communities, including those eligible for the Ray Charles Foundation Scholarship in neurosurgery. Scholarship recipients conduct research with renowned mentors at our world-class facilities.

Explore volunteer opportunities, such as the Transforming Care at the Bedside program, to gain hands-on experience, interact with patients, and learn from healthcare professionals in a real-world medical setting.

This program opens the Women's Guild Simulation Center for Advanced Clinical Skills to students interested in pursuing healthcare careers and gives them a one-day experience often available only to qualified staff.
