Bright Lab
The primary goal of the Bright Lab is to develop algorithms and methods for detecting and correcting biases in machine-learning results, ensuring models deployed in the clinic treat all patients equally. One particular interest is extending AutoML methods and software, such as Aliro and TPOT, for the automated detection and correction of biases, thereby producing fair models for clinical application.
Personal Statement
I believe creating algorithms that address biases in AI, particularly in health equity and disparity mitigation, aligns seamlessly with Cedars-Sinai’s mission. My commitment to healthcare excellence, diversity, inclusivity and accessible education resonates with the organization’s core values. As a strong advocate for integrating varied perspectives in academia, research and patient care, I am committed to advancing Cedars-Sinai’s mission.
