Lab Members

Madhura holds a BSc in biotechnology and a MSc in stem cells and regenerative medicine from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. She earned her PhD under Dr. Hidenobu Mizuno at the International Research Centre for Medical Sciences, Kumamoto University, Japan, focusing on studying brain disorder mechanisms using mouse models. She joined the Golden Lab in October 2023 as a postdoctoral scientist, eager to explore neuronal morphological changes and unknown molecular mechanisms in neonatal mouse brains using cutting-edge techniques.

Connie graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, immunology, and molecular genetics. She joined the Golden lab in late 2021, focusing on the gene regulatory network of ARX and its interacting partners

Alexia received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA. Before joining Cedars-Sinai, she served as a behavior interventionist, working closely with children with autism in developing life skills for home and external environments. She joined the Golden Lab in 2021 and is eager to see where she goes next.

August is a current fourth-year undergraduate student at UCLA studying psychobiology. He joined the Golden Lab as a research intern in the summer of 2022 and hopes to apply the knowledge and skills gained in the lab to a future career in medicine.
