Kobashigawa Lab
While advances over the last three decades have made heart transplantation a viable option for the treatment of end-stage heart failure, challenges remain. The Kobashigawa Lab's research priorities include development of improved immunosuppressive agents that are more targeted and have less side effects, development of non-invasive methods to detect rejection and development of tools for risk stratification to help guide personalized care plans.
