Linda Azab graduated from George Mason University with a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering. Throughout her senior year at Mason, she developed an interest in the magnetic resonance imaging research field.
Tianle Cao received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, in 2018. Since then, he has been a PhD student in the Bioengineering Department at UCLA. His current research interests include brain and cardiac quantitative mapping.
Karandeep Cheema received his bachelor's degree in physics at Oregon State University and a master's in biomedical imaging from Cedars-Sinai. He is currently a PhD student at UCLA majoring in bioengineering, and a visiting graduate student at the Cedars-Sinai Biomedical Imaging Research Institute. His current research includes developing advanced imaging techniques for CEST MRI.
Zengtian Deng received his bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2018 and his master's degree in biomedical engineering at Duke University in 2020. He is currently a PhD student in bioengineering at UCLA. His current research interest focuses on pancreatic cancer analysis with deep learning.
Pei Han received his bachelor degree in engineering physics at Tsinghua University. He is currently a PhD student at UCLA majoring in bioengineering, and a visiting graduate student at Cedars-Sinai Biomedical Imaging Research Institute. His current research includes developing advanced imaging techniques for CEST MRI.
Hsu-Lei Lee, PhD, received her doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California. She has been working on MRI pulse sequence design and image analysis for cardiovascular imaging, resting-state functional MRI and rodent brain imaging. Lee is currently an MR physicist at the Cedars-Sinai Biomedical Imaging Research Institute, where she focuses on technical development for human and small animal MRI.
Meng Lu graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in Bio-medical Engineering in 2017. Meng Lu established the interests in MR science during the summer intern experience at Chinese PLA General Hospital which lead him to Join the Master of Science in Magnetic Resonance in Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He interests in MR sequences programming target to various disease and tissues. After the program, Meng intends to pursue a doctoral degree in a bio-medical engineering related field.
Shihan Qiu received her bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Tsinghua University in 2019. She is currently a PhD student in the Department of Bioengineering at UCLA. Her current research includes application of deep learning in MRI.
Chaowei Wu received his bachelor of science in engineering from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree in the Department of Bioengineering at UCLA. His research interests include advanced MR image reconstruction, AI-assisted MR image reconstruction and postprocessing, and MR lung imaging.
Yibin Xie, PhD, received his bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University, master's degree from Johns Hopkins University and doctorate from the UCLA, all in biomedical engineering. Xie is currently a project scientist at Cedars-Sinai with research interests in vessel wall imaging, coronary artery imaging and diffusion weighted imaging. His current research in the Li Laboratory includes vascular imaging and hyperpolarized MRI.
