R. Li Lab
The R. Li Laboratory is focused on improving the understanding of complex diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases and psychiatric disorders using multifaceted approaches. We develop new computational methods to identify disease-associated risk factors using large-scale clinical, epidemiological, imaging and multi-omics data. Our recent efforts have focused on translational bioinformatics using electronic health records (EHR), where we developed methods in the areas of data integration, multi-outcome genetic associations and genetic risk prediction.
Personal Statement
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Computational Biomedicine and I develop machine learning and statistical methods to better understand human health and diseases. Most of my research focus is at the intersection of biomedical informatics, human genetics and machine learning/statistical modeling. I received postdoctoral training at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania before joining Cedars-Sinai.
