Completed her PhD in molecular biology at Kyoto University in 2020 under the tutelage of Prof. Masakazu Toi. Her dissertation was entitled ‘In silico analysis‐based identification of the target residue of integrin α6 for metastasis inhibition of basal‐like breast cancer." She has a wealth of experience in cell biology, molecular biology, as well as laboratory animal handling.
Completed his medical training at Osaka Medical College, followed by a urology residency at Kyoto University, where he obtained a PhD in the Department of Urology for his work on bladder cancer biomarker, focusing on cell-free DNA and its diagnostic potential in patients treated with checkpoint inhibitors. He has vast experience in clinical medicine, with a focus on clinical research in urologic malignancies.
Received a BS in nutritional science at California State University, Los Angeles. During this time, he participated in a research fellowship program in a nutritional biochemistry lab targeting Her2+ breast cancer. Subsequently, he continued to a postbaccalaureate program at Case Western Reserve University, where he worked on triple-negative breast cancer.
Recently completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA in microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics. He is taking a gap year between his undergraduate and graduate studies to gain more experience both in the laboratory as well as in the clinic.
