Kiumars Shamloo, MD, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai. In the Tao Sun, MD, research group, he is working on developing an immunotherapy for the treatment of solid tumors and neurodegenerative disorders. Shamloo received his MD from Belgrade Medical University and his master's and doctorate degrees in pharmaceutical sciences from Chapman University in Orange, California.
Benson Joseph, BS, is a research associate within Cedars-Sinai’s Department of Neurosurgery as wells as a Ray Charles Foundation Scholar. Originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, Benson earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida before matriculating to Meharry Medical College, where he is currently earning his MD. In his final year of medical school, his current project centers upon engineering immune cells as a novel therapy for glioblastomas.
