Six-Week Courses in the History of Medicine
The Cedars-Sinai History of Medicine Program offers a series of six-week courses on a variety of historical topics to the Cedars-Sinai community. Attendees will connect with expert instructors to learn about cutting-edge historical scholarship, including diverse perspectives on the forces that have shaped the history of medicine and health sciences, including the practice and organization of medicine today.
The courses are not graded and there are no assignments beyond short readings in preparation for class meetings. Conducted in a seminar format, the courses feature group discussion and extensive interaction with the instructors. All courses will be offered online either Wednesdays or Thursdays from 5 - 6 pm PT.
These courses are free for Cedars-Sinai affiliates and all interested students. Members of the public may enroll. Space will be limited. At the conclusion of the six-week course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
