Application Information
Candidates must have earned an MD degree from a U.S. medical school and either have completed or be on track to complete a residency program in the United States by the time of appointment.
California licensure is required at the time of appointment. Find more information at California Medical License Information.
Timeline
The process by which applicants for Cedars-Sinai's Spinal Surgery Fellowship Program are solicited and selected is as follows:
- March-April - The fellowship program will be advertised in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Spine and Journal of Neurosurgery and Neurosurgery.
- July - Application window opens
- December - Application deadline and interview invitations sent out
- February – Interviews on-campus
- April – Final selections and match results
Application Requirements
Interested applicants should submit the following documents:
- Current curriculum vitae
- USMLE scores (steps 1, 2 and 3)
- Three letters of reference, one of which should be from the chair or the residency director of your residency training program
- Medical school transcripts and copy of your medical school diploma
