Quality Improvement & Education
The purpose of the Cedars-Sinai Quality Improvement and Education Program is to promote and consistently strive toward the highest quality of excellence for the protection of research participants, to facilitate the ethical conduct of research, and to promote a culture of education, awareness and support to the research community.
The goals of the program are attained as follows:
- Conduct continuous assessment and improvements in targeted levels of effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the Human Research Protection Program.
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies and procedures and applicable laws, regulations, codes and guidance governing the protection of human subjects in research.
- Provide educational resources such as the IRB intranet, newsletters, workshops, training materials and consistent communication with the research community.
