Molecular Models of Tumors
Preclinical Research
Our researchers are using a technique, known as electroporation, to understand the mechanisms of brain tumorgenesis and the necessary signaling pathways. Electroporation is a method for rapid genetic manipulation of neural stem cells in vivo. By understanding these mechanisms, we aim to create more targeted therapies.
In addition, because these models offer better approximations of human disease, we can more easily assess alternate modalities of treatments, such as immunotherapy.
