Research Division of Immunology
The Research Division of Immunology (RDI) in the Department of Biomedical Sciences is the academic home for many basic and translational scientists whose research focuses on the immune system in health and disease.
Director
The division was created to bring together a broad spectrum of scientists and physicians from across the medical center to address fundamental questions related to immune cell development and function, host-pathogen interactions, the immune system in disease and the harnessing of the immune system for therapy."
Jonathan G. Kaye, PhD
Director, Research Division of Immunology
RDI and other immunology faculty teach an immunology course as part of the core curriculum of the PhD in Biomedical Sciences Program and act as mentors for approximately 40 trainees (students, postdoctoral scientists and clinical fellows), including facilitating an Immunology Research Cluster in the Postdoctoral Scientist Program.
