Leslie received a BA in psychology from UCLA and has worked in pediatrics, depression and early intervention research. At the Cedars-Sinai Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center, she focused on health disparities in women. She joined the Castellon-Lopez Lab to create culturally tailored health interventions for the Latino community and aspires to pursue a PhD.

Denise Márquez, MPH, earned her degree from San Diego State University (SDSU), where she led evaluations for an Office of Minority Health grant. Under Dr. Castellon-Lopez, she tackles Latino vaccine hesitancy through the miVacunaLA project. Her research focuses on Latino and immigrant healthcare disparities, which she plans to expand through a DrPH.

Gael graduated from UCLA with a BS in human biology and society. He first joined the field of research as a student assistant with the community-informed, COVID-19 vaccine intervention, miVacunaLA. Since December 2023, he has worked in the Castellon-Lopez Lab focusing on preventive, collaborative community interventions and qualitative studies related to Latino/a/x health.
