Lab Members

Hoyeol Kim, PhD, received his doctorate in the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing & Systems Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2018. Kim has extensive experience in 3D modeling and is currently involved on multiple projects, including the development of patient-derived human lung airways using 3D bioprinting technology. 

Biochemist Sujung Yi completed her master’s degree from Chung-Ang University in 2010. Before she joined the Mun Lab in August 2022, she worked for Korea Institute of Toxicology and Chodang Pharm. Sujung’s project focus is to develop biosensors that monitor cellular function in real time using screenprinting technology.

Makayla Roberts completed her undergraduate program in biology at UCLA and joined the Mun Lab in 2024. Her research interests are tissue engineering and 3D bioprinting technology. Makayla has been involved in fabricating and developing in vitro cell culture models, including organ-on-chips and 3D bioprinted lung airways.
