Achievements
- Ananya Singh received the Young Investigator Award – Clinical Science (1st place) by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Cardiovascular Council (June 2021).
- Piotr Slomka, PhD, received funding for NIH R01: "Quantitative Prediction of Disease and Outcomes from Next Generation SPECT and CT." This project aims to optimize the clinical capabilities of myocardial perfusion single photon emission tomography in risk prediction and treatment guidance by integrating all available imaging and clinical data with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence methods (June 2020).
- Slomka was awarded the Fellow of ASNC (FASNC) designation, one of the most distinguished designations that the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology offers its members (June 2020).
- Martin Lassen, PhD, Jacek Kwiecinski, MD, PhD, and Julian Betancur, PhD, each received the Alavi-Mandell Publication Award by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (July 2020).
- Lassen received the Young Investigator Award (2nd place) by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Physics, Instrumentation and Data Sciences Council (July 2020).
- Kwiecinski received the Young Investigator Award–Clinical Science (1st place) by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Cardiovascular Council (July 2020).
- Yuka Otaki, MD, PhD, received the Young Investigator Award–Clinical Science (2nd place) by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Cardiovascular Council (July 2020).
- Slomka received the Hermann Blumgart Award by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Cardiovascular Council. (November 2020).
- The 2020 William W. Parmley Young Author Achievement Award was awarded to Kwiecinski and Evangelos Tzolos, MD, as well as Slomka for his mentorship and research program at Cedars-Sinai, by the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC).

- Julian Betancur, PhD, received the Young Investigator – Basic Science Award by the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (September 2018).
- Piotr Slomka, PhD, received funding for NIH R01: "Integrated Analysis of Coronary Anatomy and Biology using 18F-Fluoride PET and CT Angiography." This project aims to optimize the measurement of disease activity in coronary atherosclerosis using integrated 18F-NaF PET/CTA imaging (August 2017).
