Application Information
Cedars-Sinai accepts applications for the PGY-1/PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) Residency Program exclusively through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS). We participate in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Resident Match Program. Final acceptance into the program is contingent upon successful graduation from pharmacy school and obtaining licensure in the state of California.
Instructions for Applicants
To apply for the two-year residency program, please submit the following materials through the PhORCAS portal:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Letter of Intent
- Three Letters of Reference
- Copy of College Transcript(s)
Interview & Selection Process
The application deadline is January 5, but we strongly recommend applying early as interview slots fill up quickly.

We will offer interviews on most weekdays between late January and early February.
No separate application is needed initially. Once you match with the residency program, you are automatically admitted to the MHA program. After the match, you’ll need to complete the formal application through the USC portal and pay a $95 application fee to begin the enrollment process.
Yes, 100% of tuition will be paid for by Cedars-Sinai as part of the HSPAL residency
For equity reasons, candidates will have the option to do either a virtual interview or an in-person interview. For individuals preferring to do a virtual interview, a virtual tour video will be distributed to candidates.
