Di Vizio Lab
The Di Vizio Laboratory investigates the molecular mechanisms of tumor progression to advanced disease in solid human tumors, with a significant focus on intercellular communication between tumor and stromal cells. We are also profiling the large oncosomes and other EV populations by next generation sequencing and mass spectrometry. The National Cancer Institute, the Department of Defense and Avon Foundation all provide financial support for work in the Di Vizio Lab.
Personal Statement
I am an experimental and molecular pathologist, and a molecular and cell biologist trained at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Harvard Medical School. I'm a professor at Cedars-Sinai and I serve as co-leader of the Cancer Biology Program in the Cedars-Sinai Cancer Center. I have about 20 years of experience on basic and translational research of prostate cancer, and other tumors. I have directed cross-disciplinary studies including molecular and cell biology, genomics, transcriptomics, and identification of cancer biomarkers. I have published over 130 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
